Liver Life Walk Comes to LA in September

The American Liver Foundation is hosting their 5th Annual Los Angeles Liver Life Walk on Sunday, September 23 at Ocean View Park in Santa Monica. This walk will raise funds for over one million patients in Greater Los Angeles alone that are battling a number of liver diseases including biliary atresia, fatty liver, liver cancer and hepatitis. All proceeds will go towards the American Liver Foundation’s mission to facilitate, advocate, and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.

Tesla Motors Delivers World’s First Premium Electric Sedan

Tesla Motors delivered Model S, the world’s first premium electric sedan, to its first customers at an invitationonly event in June at the Tesla Factory in Fremont, California. The company expects to build 5,000 cars by the end of 2012, followed by 20,000 in 2013.
 
 “In 2009, we set out to build the most innovative car of the 21st century, and since then have dedicated ourselves to developing and testing Model S to ensure that under any situation, Model S never disappoints,” said Elon Musk, Tesla Motors co-founder, CEO and Chief Product Architect. “Today we achieved our goal with an exceptional car that we believe sets a new standard for efficiency, safety, style, technology, operating cost and performance.”
